MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarus has welcomed the first accredited officials of the 2nd European Games, representative of the border control department at the State Border Committee of Belarus Kuzma Lesnyak told the media on 30 May, BelTA has learned.
Visa-free entry to Belarus for participants, official representatives, organizers of the games and other specialists is valid from 20 May to 10 July. For foreign tourists it will be running from 10 June to 10 July. “Thirteen accredited guests have already arrived,” the representative of the State Control Border Committee.
Special corridors have been designated for participants and fans of the 2nd European Games at the Belarusian border checkpoints. The biggest flows of visitors are expected at Minsk National Airport which has also dedicated special passport control corridors.
Belarus expects to welcome at least 30,000 fans for the European Games.
The 2nd European Games will be held in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 200 medal events in 15 sports.
