MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – Almost Br77 million will be allocated from the Belarus President’s reserve fund to organize the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019. Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko signed corresponding decree No.315 on 15 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
These funds will be used to conduct capital and current repairs, landscape the Palace of Sports, the national Olympic rowing and tennis training centers, upgrade sports facilities near the places of accommodation of the participants of the European Games and a hostel for the resettlement of students residing in the Student Village.
The funds will also be allocated to place thematic materials in the leading European mass media outlets, organize and conduct the doping control of athletes, purchase software and hardware services for the organization of competitions.
The Council of Ministers has been authorized to envisage funds for the implementation of these measures when developing the national budget for 2019.
