MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Belarus has named its wrestling team for the 2nd European Games, Chairman of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation Kamandar Madzidov told BelTA.
Belarus’ Greco-Roman wrestling team will comprise Maksim Kazharsky (-60kg), Soslan Daurov (67kg), Pavel Lyakh (77kg), Radik Kuliyeu (87kg), Aleksandr Hrabovik (97kg), and Kirill Grishchenko (130kg).
Belarus will field Uladzislau Andreyeu (-57kg), Georgy Koliyev (65kg), Azamat Nurikov (74kg), Ali Shabanau (86kg), Aleksandr Gushtyn (97kg), and Vitaly Pesnyak (125kg) as part of its freestyle wrestling team.
The Belarusian women’s wrestling team will include Violetta Chirik (-50kg), Vanesa Kaladzinskaya (53kg), Iryna Kurachkina (57kg), Veronika Ivanova (62kg), Maria Mamashuk (68kg), and Vasilisa Marzaliuk (76kg).
According to the chairman of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation, preparations for the multi-sport forum are on schedule. The training camp of the men’s wrestling team is based in Staiki. Women are training in Logoisk.
A total of 288 athletes will compete in 18 medal events at the Minsk Sports Palace as part of the 2nd European Games on 25-30 June.
Tickets for the European Games are available at www.minsk2019.ticketpro.by, in the box offices of the official ticket operator Ticketpro and in more than 300 sales points in all the oblast centers and big regional centers. Tickets can be bought through a noncash transaction.
