MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Maryna Zharskaya won the 52kg sambo silver at the 2nd European Games in Minsk on 23 June, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian lost to Russia’s Diana Riabova in the final.
“It is a shame to lose in the final when you are aiming at gold. A made a mistake. Big thanks to fans for their support. Today’s bout was a very difficult one,” Maryna Zharskaya told the media.
The sambo tournament at the 2nd European Games featured 144 athletes in 18 medal events.
