MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Sport facilities of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 will move into the final preparations stage in February-March 2019, BelTA learned from Anatoly Kotov, Deputy CEO of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), on 6 November.
According to the source, the development of operation plans, which specify how European Games facilities will work and all the services will interact, is nearing completion. In February-March 2019 all the facilities will move into the final stage of preparations. “All the facilities are virtually ready. The shooting gallery named after Timoshenko will be the last one. Construction work over there has been finished. Shooting equipment will be installed and the shooting gallery will be commissioned at the end of the year,” said Anatoly Kotov. Thorough analysis of what the sport facilities can do is in progress in order to avoid the serious cost of building temporary infrastructure.
Belarus got the right to host the 2nd European Games at the 45th EOC General Assembly, which took place in Minsk on 21 October 2016. Competitions of the 2nd European Games will be held in the largest sports facilities in Minsk, including Dinamo Stadium, Minsk Arena, and Chizhovka Arena.
