MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Gear and equipment required for organizing the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 will not be subject to customs duties and taxes, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
A regular session of the subcommittee on customs regulation of the national committee in charge of organizing the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 took place at premises of the State Customs Committee on 27 February. Free transportation of the goods the games require across the customs border was a key item on the agenda. In particular, the possibility to declare them online and subject them to a special customs procedure was mentioned.
According to the source, merchandise required for organizing the games, including sport gear, photo and video equipment, can be subjected to a special customs procedure. Goods, which are imported by accredited persons in line with the addendum to resolution No.107 the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission passed on 20 December 2017 to regulate certain aspects relating to personal-use goods, can also be imported without paying customs duties and taxes regardless of their value and weight.
