MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Belarusian books have been presented at the International Belgrade Book Fair that is taking place on 21-28 October, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.
A Belarusian pavilion was unveiled during a solemn opening ceremony. The pavilion features books dedicated to the Year of Native Land. Among them are local lore books, encyclopedias and children’s editions. Taking into consideration that Belarus will host the 2nd European Games 2019, visitors to the expo could also see sports-themed editions. “During the entire first day of the expo, works of Serbian writers translated into the Belarusian language sparked a keen interest among the audience,” the Information Ministry noted.
Belarus’ exposition features books published by Mastatskaya Litaratura, Belarus, Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopaedia, Narodnaya Asveta, Vysheishaya Shkola, Zvyazda Publishing House and Yakub Kolas Printing and Publishing House.
