MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov met with Michel Sidibe, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), BelTA learned from the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides discussed matters of cooperation in fighting the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Michel Sidibe praised the progress in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS at the national level and welcomed Belarus’ initiatives in this sphere.
