MOSCOW, 24 November (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Union member states will hold additional consultations on Belarus’ initiative to develop the EAEU biological security strategy, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission Iya Malkina told a briefing on 24 November, BelTA has learned.
Iya Malkina recalled that the development of the EAEU biological security strategy was discussed at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on 18-19 November. “At the initiative of Belarus, the heads of government exchanged views on the advisability of developing the EAEU biological security strategy to respond to modern challenges,” the Eurasian Economic Commission representative said. “Belarus put forward its proposals and the parties took time for additional consultations,” she added.
