MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) - The Eurasian Economic Commission is working with the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on a cooperation program until 2022, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich said during the international investment teleconference "From Recovery to Sustainable Growth", BelTA has learned.
“It is very important for the EEC that we are currently working with UNCTAD on a cooperation program for 2020-2022. The ideas and proposals, which will be voiced today at the conference, will contribute to this program. It is also important that we not just declare cooperation but move on to specific projects. Of course, these include the issues of improving legal framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the image of the EAEU and the EEC in international organizations,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
He highlighted UNCTAD's role in drawing up the recommendations for national government bodies and business based on international experience. “These include the protection of rights of consumers, including vulnerable and disadvantaged, and other pressing issues,” Mikhail Myasnikovich informed.
