MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev will be on a visit to Minsk on 27-28 January, Spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 22 January, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Lebedev is set to hold a number of meetings with Belarus’ government officials, including Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. “The parties are going to discuss ways to ramp up cooperation and boost integration within the framework of the Commonwealth,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
On 28-29 January Minsk will host ministerial consultations to discuss cooperation between the CIS member states in 2015. The consultations will be attended by heads of related departments and bureaus of the foreign ministries of the CIS participating states. Prior to the consultations, on 27 January, Belarus' Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei will make a traditional address at the session of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the States-Participants of the Commonwealth under Charter and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth.
