MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – The expansion of strategic cooperation between Belarus and China will be discussed during an official visit of the Chinese parliamentary delegation to Minsk on 16-18 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
The Chinese parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang will visit Belarus on the invitation of the National Assembly. “There are plans to discuss the ways of expanding comprehensive strategic cooperation with China in the political, inter-parliamentary, economic, investment, humanitarian and other sectors,” the press service said.
Speaker of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and Speaker of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko are expected to hold talks with Chinese MPs and sign a joint statement on cooperation between the National Assembly of Belarus and the National People’s Congress of China. Chinese MPs are also set to visit the Great Stone Industrial Park, an important hub of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
The Chinese parliamentary delegation will be taken on a tour around the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the National Art Museum.
