Belarusian ice hockey team’s jersey with Lukashenko’s autograph handed over to Brazil president

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – Prospects of implementation of bilateral economic projects were discussed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Sergei Lukashevich met with Brazil Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, BelTA has learned.

The sides discussed matters of manufacturing cooperation of Belarusian and Brazilian companies, shipments of potash fertilizers to satisfy the demand of Brazil’s agriculture. Close attention was paid to Belarus’ possible participation in economic projects of the Brazilian government.

The meeting also covered not only the development of bilateral economic contacts between the two countries. Sergei Lukashevich handed over a gift from Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko for Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva – a sweater of the Belarusian national ice hockey team. The jersey bears Aleksandr Lukashenko’s autograph and a signature: “Together we are strong!”
