MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates are ready to develop cooperation in industry, agriculture and high technology. The matter was discussed in a meeting between Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori on 24 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
“The parties discussed ways to boost trade, economic and investment cooperation taking into account the agreements reached at the second meeting of the Belarus-UAE intergovernmental committee on cooperation,” the press service said. In particular, the parties stressed the interest in developing cooperation in traditional sectors such as industry and agriculture as well as in a number of promising areas in high technology.
Special focus was placed on joint investment projects submitted to the UAE for consideration.
The parties shared opinions on the prospects to cooperate in the banking and aviation areas and ways for further visa liberalization.
