MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Pavel Vzyatkin has presented his credentials to Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed promising areas of partnership between Belarus and Uganda with a focus on economic cooperation and development of the legal framework.
The Ugandan leader warmly recalled his visit to Belarus in 2000 and his meeting with Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko. He added that he would be happy to welcome the president of Belarus in Uganda.
During the ceremony, the Belarusian ambassador had a conversation with Ugandan Minister of Foreign Affairs Odongo Jeje Abubakahar, during which the parties agreed on plans for joint work in the near future.
