MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 343 “On the operation of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the Belarus President”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The decree aims to streamline the operation of the Academy of Public Administration as the leading educational institution for executive personnel. The Charter of the Academy of Public Administration has been updated, the objectives and functions of the institution of higher learning have been revised. A provision of the training, retraining and professional advancement of students and specialists on government quotas has been approved. It includes a number of revised approaches to the training of senior executives.
Stages of formation and types of educational programs for such specialists have been revised as well. The procedure of selecting candidates for education at the Academy of Public Administration has been improved.
As far as the most skilled students and attendees of the Academy of Public Administration are concerned, proposals will be made to use their potential in the state administration system.
Students’ scholarships at the Academy of Public Administration have been increased in order to motivate applicants. Besides, measures to engage the best lecturers and specialists in public administration in the educational process have been envisaged by the decree.
The decree will streamline the operation of the Academy of Public Administration and make the process of education more efficient.
