MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Azerbaijani administrative agreement on pension coverage was signed in Baku on 28 November, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Belarus.
This document regulates the application of the agreement on cooperation in pension coverage as of 21 November 2013 between the government of Belarus and the government of Azerbaijan by the ministries of labor and social security. This document regulates the issues of pension coverage for the citizens of Belarus and Azerbaijan living on the territory of these countries.
Thus, each state grants (calculates) labor pensions in accordance with the legislation for the period of work on its territory (insurance period) after 31 December 1991 and pays the pensions on the territory of the state where the pensioner lives. For the periods of work in the former USSR till 31 December 1991 labor pensions will be paid by the state where a person lives.
The administrative agreement signed on 28 November determines responsible agencies (countries), the procedure of interaction in the calculation and recalculation of pensions.
According to specialists, a person should file an application and corresponding documents to a nearby authorized agency. These documents will be submitted to the corresponding agencies of the other state. Pensions will be paid in the third month of the quarter in the national currency of the state where the pensioner lives. Authorized agencies will exchange electronic payment statements.
The agreement also specified the terms of exchange of such documents.
