VITEBSK, 19 February (BelTA) – The 25th edition of the international festival of arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk is scheduled for 14-18 July. Additional events will be held on 12, 13, 19, and 20 July, director of the forum and head of the World Association of Festivals Alexander Sidorenko told journalists on 19 February, BelTA has learned.
“The festival will officially open on 14 July, and the closing ceremony will be held on 18 July. Vitebsk will host festival-themed events from 12 till 20 July. The international contest of young pop singers will traditionally be the highlight of the festival. It will feature three stages, three full-scale concerts broadcast on TV,” Alexander Sidorenko explained.
The contestants will perform in semi-final (National Hit), and the first and the second day of the final (Slavonic Hit and Festival Hit). The winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the Slavonic Bazaar festival. The prizes will be presented by members of the jury and pop stars.
