MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Pavel Sankovich of Belarus finished first in the men’s 50m backstroke at the FINA Swimming World Cup 25m in Hong Kong, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 23.03 seconds to finish ahead of Vladimir Morozov of Russia (23.71 seconds) and Brazil’s Nelson Silva (23.76 seconds).
Earlier, Ilya Shimanovich brought silver to Belarus at the men’s 200m breaststroke event.
The next FINA Swimming World Cup 25m will take place in Doha on 4-5 October.
