The main events will kick of on 7 September with a festive procession of the participants from the reenactment camp to the central square of the city. It is expected that partaking in the festival will be up to 300 reenactors - representatives of over 20 reenactment clubs from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine: Aridan, Russian Banner, Phoenix, Azgard, Silver Pegasus, West Crown, Wild Hunt, and others.
The opening ceremony of the festival and the presentation of reenactment clubs will be followed by the first joust in the central square. It will be accompanied by fire shows of the Kiev Historical Dance Theater Alentrada. The tournament will be wrapped up with buhurts to reenact a medieval fight at the walls of Novogrudok Castle. Crossbowmen competitions will be held on the same day.
A theatrical show will present Mindaugas’ coronation at the main stage of Novogrudok on 7 September. The show will be followed by a gala concert with the participation of the Kiev Historical Dance Theater Alentrada, rock bands Jankey and Aillion as well as well-known Belarusian singer Piotr Yelfimov. The festival will end up in a spectacular fire show.
The program of the festival will also include a house tournament with the best Belarusian and foreign reenactors, dance master-classes, exhibition performances by crossbowmen and a concert show “Farewell to the Legend” on 8 September.
