MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – The U.S. online edition Flavorwire included the National Library of Belarus in its rating of 20 Works of Architecture That Belong in a Sci-Fi Film, the official website of Flavorwire says.
According to the U.S. online edition, we do not have to travel to the stars to enjoy futuristic architecture. There are plenty of bold, bizarre, contemporary buildings right here on earth that look like they belong on the set of a sci-fi movie.
The National Library of Belarus goes 11th in the rating. Describing the library, the edition notes that it has its own public observation deck and can seat 2,000 readers.
Flavorwire rating also included the 2010 UK Pavilion for World Shanghai Expo, the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel with 17 spires, the Atomium in Brussels, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Spain’s Auditorio de Tenerife, the futuristic Design Museum Holon in Israel, French theme park Futuroscope, Beijing’s Galaxy Soho, the Baha’i House of Worship in India, the cathedral of Brasilia, the Los Angeles International Airport, the Sanzhi UFO houses in Taiwan, the Graz Art Museum in Austria, and the New Beijing Poly Plaza.
