Anastasia Zhabko to represent Belarus at Vitebsk 2016 Junior Song Contest
MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) - Anastasia Zhabko will represent Belarus at the 14th Junior Song Contest Vitebsk 2016 which will be held as part of the 25th International Arts Festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA has learned.
The decision was taken by the jury led by Belarus People's Artist Eduard Zaritsky. According to him, the jury was unanimous, and Anastasia deserved the right to represent the country.
Eleven young talents applied to participate in this prestigious singing contest. They performed their songs for the jury on 25 February. Additional auditions were held on 9 March.
The 25th International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk will be held from 14 to 18 July. Additional activities are planned for 12-13 July and 19-20 July. The main event of the festival is the song contest of young singers. The children's song contest also draws great interest of the public.
