MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – A solemn ceremony Prayer for Belarus took place in the All Saints Memorial Temple in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
A ceremony to bury capsules containing soil from graves of the Belarusian warriors, who died far away from their native land, took place in the crypt of the All Saints Memorial Temple. The area around the temple and the temple’s central stairway were embellished. A large number of spectators gathered at the site.
A concert of choir music and symphonic music will be staged for participants of the event.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko took part in the event as well as heads and representatives of government agencies, political parties, public associations, religious organizations, national and cultural public associations, representatives of Minsk’s general public.
The head of state is expected to meet with representatives of religious confessions, national and cultural public associations, and the diplomatic corps.
Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Pavel is expected to say a brief prayer to bless Belarus and the nation. After that the head of state is expected to make a speech. Close to him will be the heads of the Orthodox church, Catholic church, Muslim church, and the Jewish church in Belarus.
