MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – The women’s K2 200m final heat at the 1st European Games in Baku was won by Belarus’ Marina Litvinchuk and Margarita Makhneva on 16 June, BelTA informs.
Thanks to wise tactics the Belarusians outpaced their closest rivals by 0.300 seconds to grab the gold medal. Their winning time is 37.399. Silver went to Serbia’s Nikolina and Olivera Moldovan (37.699). Ukraine’s Maria Povkh and Anastasia Todorova collected bronze (37.719).
It is the first medal for Belarus in the Women’s Canoe Sprint at the 1st European Games in Baku.
