MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Poland Vladimir Chushev presented his credentials to Polish President Andrzej Duda on 20 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Warsaw.
During the official ceremony the parties noted mutual interest in sustained development of Belarusian-Polish cooperation across a wide range of areas, with a focus on trade and economic ties.
On the same day, Vladimir Chushev laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.
Cooperation between Belarus and Poland has been developing in all areas. In 2018, the Belarusian-Polish trade amounted to over $2.5 billion. Belarusian export to Poland reached more than $1.3 billion (up 24%), import from Poland came at about $1.2 billion (90.1%). Belarus had a surplus of $138.2 million.
