MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The Latvian-Belarusian Business Forum will take place in Minsk on 8 April, BelTA learnt from the Minsk City Hall.

The forum will gather businessmen of Latvia and Belarus in the Victoria Business Center in Minsk. The guests from Riga will tell about the development prospects of the Latvian capital through 2030, share the experience in ecological waste treatment, and discuss tourism development. The event will also include the presentation of the Riga Trademark project. Latvian businessmen plan to display their products, including sprats, balm, bread and milk in Minsk trading centers. The project will be implemented on a parity basis: some Belarusian products will be showcased in Riga supermarkets. A business matchmaking session will take place as part of the business forum.

The Latvian delegation led by Chairman of the Riga Duma Nils Usakovs will visit Minsk on 7-10 April. The official delegation will comprise about 20 people: Latvian MPs, the Chairman of the Rezekne City Duma, deputy chairpersons of the Daugavpils and Liepaja Dumas, representatives of the Riga city council. Minsk will welcome about 30 Latvian businessmen.

The Latvian guests will meet with the Minsk City Hall authorities. The parties are planned to sign a program of cooperation between the Riga Duma and the Minsk City Hall for 2015-2017. On 8 April Riga representatives will take part in the opening of the international tourism exhibition Recreation 2015.
