NEW YORK, 22 September (BelTA) – The first Belarusian-U.S. investment forum will open in New York on 22 September, BelTA has learned.
Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich told media ahead of the event that Belarus is coming to the forum not empty-handed. “We have enough strong points to boost the work with American companies and banks. We need to be bolder in coming to these financial markets. There is still an untapped potential here and we will be talking about it,” he noted.
Belarus hopes to intensify the trade and economic cooperation with the United States at the forum. The event will be held in the form of discussions where all the present will be free to ask questions.
The forum will be divided into three blocks. The first one will consider Belarus’ investment climate, national investment projects, and opportunities for cooperation in priority sectors. The second block will comprise IT and science-related issues and the third one will include trade and economic issues, advantages of cooperation with Belarus taking into account the Single Economic Space and the development of the Eurasian Economic Union. The forum will also talk over the activity of the Belarusian-U.S. business cooperation council.
