Radunitsa is a day of commemoration of the departed

Orthodox believers celebrate Radunitsa, the day of commemoration of the departed observed on the second Tuesday of Easter. The cemeteries in the villages evacuated after the Chernobyl accident and closed off due to "Radiation Danger" since 1986 are crowded on these days. On memorial days, there is a no-pass entry for visiting them.
