MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus-born singer and composer Alexander Rybak is ready to prepare a Belarusian entrant for Eurovision 2015. The musician made this statement as he met with Culture Minister of Belarus Boris Svetlov on 17 April, BelTA has learnt.
“I want to help a Belarusian performer to win the contest. I noticed a long time ago that Belarusian ladies have a delightful accent when they speak English. This observation will be the basis of the future song. The story will revolve around a girl who promises to follow her love but will keep her Belarusian accent. The melody will have folklore tunes,” the singer said.
According to Alexander Rybak, this song should sink into the heart of the European audience who has heard a lot about the beauty of Belarusian women. Alexander Rybak is going to hold auditions in order to find the performer. The singer promised to provide all kinds of support to the entrant.
The Culture Ministry was enthusiastic about the idea and promised to help materialize this project.
