Grodno to host classical music festival TyzenHouse 12-15 September

GRODNO, 5 September (BelTA) - The festival of classical music TyzenHouse will be held in Grodno on 12-15 September, BelTA learnt from Pavel Skrobko, the head of the ideology, culture and youth affairs department of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.

This will be the first international cultural project dedicated to classical music in Grodno. A series of concerts by distinguished musicians will be given on the big stage of Grodno’s Drama Theater.

The project was initiated and organized by the Grodno native, famous pianist Kirill Keduk who will come to Grodno together with his teachers from different European countries.

Italy’s virtuoso pianist Boris Petrushansky will give a concert on 12 September. Boris Petrushansky is a student of the legendary pianist Heinrich Neuhaus and a teacher at the International Piano Academy in Italy’s Imola. The next day the music enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the performance of Kirill Kiduk and the virtuoso violinist Mikhail Simonyan. Piotr Paleczny, the famous interpreter of Fryderyk Chopin’s works, a teacher at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, will put on a concert on 14 September.

A concert on 15 September will feature the Belarusian State Chamber Orchestra, pianist Kirill Keduk and violoncellist Ivan Karizna (the winner of the Pyotr Tchaikovsky International Contest, the finalist of the 2010 Eurovision Young Musicians in Vienna, a native of Dyatlovo and currently a student at the Paris Conservatory). The conductor of the orchestra will be Poland’s Jakub Chrenowicz.

Kirill Keduk has won over 15 international contests. He received music education in Belarus, Poland, Italy and the UK. The young pianist has already performed solo with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the orchestras of Nice, Sicily and Liverpool. He also cooperated with conductors Vladimir Spivakov, Thomas Sanderling and Massimiliano Caldi. The artist performs in the major concert halls in New York, Milan and Tokyo. In spring 2013 he recorded his first album My Polish Diary.
