MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - The second jazz fest "Minsk Oblast Welcomes Jazz" will be held in the town of Chist, Molodechno District, on 6 November, People's Artist of Belarus, artistic director of the National Academic Concert Orchestra, Professor Mikhail Finberg told an online press conference hosted by the BelTA website on 9 October.
The Big Band of the concert orchestra will present a program of classical jazz and will play the works of 21 composers including Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich.
“It will be a very interesting program. Such projects educate people. We have plans for concerts in Chist next year as well,” Mikhail Finberg said.
The concert orchestra is also preparing three programs for the 25th edition of the Minsk Jazz music project.
One of them will be dedicated to the world and Belarusian jazz history, the second titled as Big Samba will feature rousing tunes of the southern hemisphere. The third program will be dedicated to Eddie Rosner.
