MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) - Leading soloists of the Belarusian Opera will be guests of the Slavic House Opera Festival at the Samara Opera and Ballet Theater, Director General of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus Yekaterina Dulova told reporters.

"I welcome an initiative to bring together Slavic theaters in the most different approaches and types of relationships at the Slavic House festival which will be running at the Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre held from 15 March to 7 April. I have been invited as a member of the organizing committee and plan to attend it on 4-7 April. In fact, it is a festival of Russian operas performed by different national Slavic schools. The actors of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus will take part in the opera performances The Tsar's Bride, Boris Godunov, The Queen of Spades and Prince Igor,” Yekaterina Dulova noted.

"Our arrangements with Samara do not stop with this festival. We have already held negotiations, and the ballet company will attend the Dmitri Shostakovich Festival in Samara and show the performances Spartacus and Illusions of Love," she added.

According to the general director, in 2024 the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus plans to show a number of amazing productions: Cinderella ballet by Sergei Prokofiev, musical and educational project Pushkin's Tales to mark the 225th anniversary of the poet's birth, vocal and choreographic performance Emotional Diary of Memory, symphonic fairy tale for children Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev and the Eugene Onegin opera by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
