MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Elena Turova’s feature length film Kinderville Ghost (shot by Belarusfilm Studio) after Oscar Wilde’s novel will open the competition program of Listapadzik children’s and youth film festival which is to take place on 2-5 November as part of the 20th Listapad International Film Festival, BelTA learnt from the press service of the forum.
Kinderville Ghost comprises various genres: a Gothic comedy, a horror, a fantasy, and even a melodrama. Kinderville Ghost is a family picture and will premiere at the festival.
The cast includes Belarusian actors Vyacheslav Pavlut, Roman Podolyako, Alesya Samokhodets, Valentin Glushko. Music for Kinderville Ghost is written by well-known Belarusian composer Vladimir Kondrusevich who several years ago worked on the music for an animated picture after Oscar Wilde’s Canterville Ghost.
The family of energetic producer Kostik inherits an ancient villa in Vileika District which has some dark family secret. Kostik decides to develop a theme park Kinderville on its territory. His family moves in and soon faces a real ghost there.
“It is a kind story about a battle of a young generation with past mistakes, sanctity of family values and responsibility for our loved ones. The film is abound in humor, music, stunts, computer animation and special effects,” producer Elena Turova said.
Elena Turova is a producer of animation and fiction films at Belarusfilm Studio, a script writer, a poet, an author of many popular songs. Elena Turova was born in Mogilev to film producer Viktor Turov and actress Svetlana Turova. Elena Turova is a winner of numerous children’s film festivals. She shot a children’s picture New Year’s Adventures in July in 2007 and Ryzhik in Wonderland in 2010.
The jury of Listapadzik film festival, led by producer Galina Daneliya, will comprise Belarusian actor Pavel Kharlanchuk and Armenian actress and producer Armine Anda.
