Built to a captivating design, described by mysterious stories, a survivor of many tragic events… the Palace of the Puslovskys in the town of Kossovo is one of the most beautiful and rarest places of interest in Belarus. It was once the first neo-gothic residence in Belarusian lands. Today it is the only specimen of the architecture of those days.
After many years of oblivion this miniature castle with 12 towers symbolizing months of the year is once again open to visitors. Massive restoration work is still in progress but anyone can already appreciate the beauty of the palace and take a walk along the halls, which look forward to the revival of the former splendor.
A temporary exhibition occupies five halls. The entry hall offers a story of the nearby area, which is also famed for other places of interest such as, for instance, the nearby country estate of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a hero of several countries. The white hall is dedicated to the family history of the former owners – the princes Puslovskys. Two more halls cover events of the past century and modern reconstruction. There are exhibits on display in the fifth hall.
The restorers have yet to do a lot of work to recreate the interior design of the palace. Apart from that, a hotel will be located in the left wing. A restaurant will be located in the right wing. The surrounding territory is supposed to become a beautiful park.
