MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) - Five-time Paralympic champion Ihar Boki of Belarus added two gold medals on days 2 and 3 at the IPC World Swimming Championships in Glasgow, BelTA has learned.
On July 15 Ihar Boki celebrated the win in the men’s 100m backstroke S13 with the result of 56.74, which was a new world record in S13 and Ihar’s second world record of the meet. Ukraine’s Iaroslav Denysenko claimed silver in 59.08, Australia’s Sean Russo third in 1:01.10.
On 14 July the Belarusian won his second gold in a row in the men’s 200m individual medley SM13 (2:04.06). Ukraine’s Iaroslav Denysenko (2:08.58) took silver whilst Azerbaijani Dzmitry Salei (2:11.33) collected bronze.
On the opening day Ihar Boki was victorious in the men’s S13 50m freestyle.
