MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus shot clean to claim her first-ever victory in the women’s 15K individual at BMW IBU World Cup 1 in Ostersund, Sweden on 29 November, BelTA informs.
The Belarusian’s winning time of 42:57.4 put her 2.9 seconds ahead Norway’s Synnove Solemdal and 12 seconds ahead of Ukraine’s Juliya Dzhyma. All three women on the podium shot clean.
It is the first career victory for Nadezhda Skardino in the women’s 15K Individual. Last year, Darya Yurkevich of Belarus claimed bronze in Ostersund.
Darya Domracheva finished 14th with three penalties, 1:47.8 behind the winner. Darya Yurkevich placed 36th, shooting clean, 3:24.1 back. Irina Krivko was 38th, with three penalties, 3:25.3 back. Nadezhda Pisareva finished 94th, with six penalties, 9:16.2 back. 102 athletes competed in the women’s 15K Individual.
