MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will pay a working visit to the People’s Republic of China on 13-16 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
In Beijing, the Belarusian head of state will take part in the international cooperation forum One Belt, One Road where he will voice the proposals of the Belarusian side to deepen and expand cooperation on the Eurasian continent with an emphasis on joint peaceful mutually beneficial development.
It is expected that the Belarusian president will have a number of bilateral meetings with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
Alexander Lukashenko is also expected to meet with China President Xi Jinping to discuss further practical realization of a new stage in the Belarusian-Chinese relations – the trust-based all-round strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. The sides will discuss promising avenues of interaction in various fields, the implementation of the biggest and most important joint projects.
