ISLAMABAD, 4 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit. The aircraft with the Belarusian head of state on board landed in the Nur Khan airbase near Islamabad on 4 October, BelTA has learned.
On arrival, Alexander Lukashenko was welcomed by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The Belarusian head of state will meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain, and also representatives of the Pakistan parliament. The parties are expected to sign a number of documents in different areas of bilateral cooperation.
Alexander Lukashenko will also attend the opening of the fourth Belarus-Pakistan business and investment forum in Islamabad.
A few days before the visit, Islamabad welcomed a Belarusian delegation with members of the government, heads of ministries and other government agencies, and directors of large enterprises. Members of the delegation have already held negotiations with Pakistani partners.
