MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – The Grand Prix of the 23rd Minsk International Film Festival Listapad, Golden Listapad for the Best Film, went to Benedek (Bence) Fliegauf’s Lily Lane (Hungary, Germany and France). The awards ceremony of the film forum took place at Moskva Cinema House on 11 November, BelTA has learned.
Anna Zamiecka’s Communion (Poland) received the Grand Prix for the Best Documentary.
Silver Listapad in the Film as an Art Phenomenon nomination was awarded to Oliver Laxe’s Mimosas (Morocco, Spain, France, Qatar).
Bronze Listapad, the People’s Choice Award, went to Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov’s Glory (Bulgari, Greece).
Ivan Tverdovsky’s Zoology (Russia, Germany, France) won the Youth on the March competition.
Among the winners of the national film competition were Viktor Krasovsky’s Souls Dead (Belarus, Best Feature Film), Ruslan Fedotov’s Salamanca (Russia, Belarus), Best Documentary), Natalia Surinovich’s Dasha and a Man-Eater (Russia, Best Animation Film).
Michel Gondry’s work was named the best film in the children and youth film competition. Rafig Aliyev and Javid Tavakkul’s The Lesson got the Golden Listapadzik (People’s Choice Award).
The 23rd Minsk International Film Festival Listapad took place in the Belarusian capital on 4-11 November under the motto Towards Inspiration. The festival program included 159 films from 52 countries. The organizer is the center of visual and performing arts ART Corporation.
The festival was organized by the Culture Ministry and Minsk City Hall with the participation of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company, National Film Studio Belarusfilm, and the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
