BEIJING, 4 May (BelTA) – The state visit of China President Xi Jinping to Belarus will allow advancing Belarusian-Chinese strategic partnership to a new higher level, BelTA learned from Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Cheng Guoping during a meeting with representatives of Belarusian mass media in Beijing.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that Xi Jinping will visit Minsk upon the invitation of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. It will be the first visit of the China President to Belarus over the last 14 years. According to Cheng Guoping, during the visit Xi Jinping and Alexander Lukashenko are expected to exchange views on the most important matters on the international agenda and the regional agenda. They are expected to discuss matters concerning political and economic cooperation.
