MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) - Four working groups (on security, humanitarian assistance, economic and political affairs) of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine have resumed talks in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The meetings are traditionally held behind closed doors at the President Hotel in Minsk. The working group on security is expected to present to the contact group two draft versions of the document for the withdrawal of weapons below a 100mm caliber from the line of contact. The trilateral contact group will resume its work later. The working groups will also discuss other issues regarding the full implementation of the provisions of the Minsk arrangements.
The previous meeting of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine and its working groups was held in Minsk on 3 August. After long negotiations, it was decided that the meeting of the working group on security would be continued on 4 August. However, no concrete results were reached.
