MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Parliament Speakers of Belarus and Pakistan will exchange visits in April-July, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with the Pakistani parliamentary delegation led by Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani in Minsk on 2 February, BelTA has learned.
All the necessary conditions have been created for the two countries to develop full-fledged cooperation in the areas of interest, Vladimir Andreichenko said. “With a view to continuing the state and inter-parliamentary dialogue I am planning to make a visit to your country on 10-13 April, at the invitation of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sardar Sadiq. Mr Sadiq also expressed his willingness to visit our country in July,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
According to him, the current level of trade between Russia and Pakistan does not match the existing potential. Vladimir Andreichenko believes that the two countries can increase the trade up to $1 billion by 2020. The MPs of the countries especially relevant committee should work harder to promote economically viable projects.
