Nearly 7,000 visa-waiver travelers visit Belarus since 23 October

MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – Since 23 October 2023, Belarus has welcomed 6,942 visa-waiver visitors from the neighboring EU states of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

Lithuanians were the most active users of the visa waiver, with 3,998 Lithuanian nationals coming to Belarus over the past week.

Since the start of the year 2023, some 366,674 residents of the neighboring EU states used the visa waiver to come to Belarus. This included 222,201 citizens of Lithuania, 84,110 citizens and 25,736 non-citizens of Latvia, and 34,627 Polish citizens.

Some 751,660 people from the neighboring EU countries have visited Belarus since the launch of the visa-waiver program, including 470,464 citizens of Lithuania, 52,615 non-citizens and 172,244 citizens of Latvia, and 56,337 Polish citizens.
