MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – First President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan has extended congratulations to Aleksandr Lukashenko on his victory in the 2020 Belarus presidential election, BelTA has learned.
“Voting for you, the Belarusian people reaffirmed their choice to continue the policy of economic reforms, increasing the social wellbeing of the population and strengthening the international standing of the Republic of Belarus,” the message of greetings runs.
Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized Aleksandr Lukashenko’s personal contribution to the development of relations in the Kazakhstan-Belarus strategic partnership based on traditions of friendship and mutual respect.
Kazakhstan aims to further expand and strengthen relations with Belarus both bilaterally and within the Eurasian Economic Union.
“I appreciate and value our friendship based on trust and mutual understanding. I am convinced that our fruitful joint work in the previous years will remain a solid foundation for the development of cooperation for the benefit of our nations,” the first president of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev wished Aleksandr Lukashenko strong health and new achievements at his responsible post and also peace and wellbeing to the people of Belarus.
