MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) - Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti has arrived in Belarus on a two-day official visit, BelTA learned from Minsk National Airport.
It is expected that the two leaders will hold talks on 16 July. The heads of state will meet one-on-one and then will hold an extended meeting to discuss the state and promising areas in cooperation between Belarus and Moldova.
The two leaders are expected to sign a number of documents on the exchange of legal information, industrial cooperation and interregional relations.
In the run-up to the visit Minsk hosted a meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation. On 16 July Minsk is hosting the Belarusian-Moldavian business forum. The two events are expected to add additional impetus to the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.
