Mogilev hosting Union State Council of Ministers High Level Group meeting

MOGILEV, 29 September (BelTA) - The meeting of the High Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State is taking place in Mogilev, Belarus. The agenda of the event includes 13 issues, BelTA has learned.

“The agenda of the High Level Group meeting is extensive: we will discuss the most diverse issues and problems that characterize the whole range of ties and relations that exist between us,” State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Dmitry Mezentsev said. “They include efforts to make railway tariffs equal, ensure digital sovereignty of the Union State, develop air communication, including between Belarus and the Russian Far East, the Union State budget and many more. All this requires joint decisions.”

Attending the meeting of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers are Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia (vested with the deputy prime minister’s authorities) Dmitry Krutoi, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Boris Gryzlov, representatives of the Standing Committee and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State, ministries and agencies of the two countries.

Before the discussion of the agenda Dmitry Mezentsev wished everyone constructive and fruitful joint work. He noted that at the stage of the preparation for the meeting the partners showed a big desire to find real solutions to the complex issues included in the agenda.
