MOSCOW, 14 November (BelTA) - A session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be held in Minsk on 23 November under the chairmanship of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service.
"CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will report on the results of the CSTO activities in the intersessional period. Members of the Collective Security Council are set to discuss topical issues of international and regional security, determine the upcoming tasks, and also adopt a number of documents aimed at ensuring the interests of collective security," the press service said.
Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected to present the CSTO priority areas of activity during Kazakhstan's chairmanship. In 2023, the chairmanship is held by Belarus.
"The CSTO’s Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils will convene for a joint meeting on the eve of the Collective Security Council session on 22 November,” the press service added.
