MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Minsk District and Yubei District of China’s Chongqing municipality have signed a memorandum to establish twin-town relations, BelTA has learned.
The parties agreed to initiate cooperation projects and projects to share expertise and knowledge in agriculture, education, tourism, culture and art, as well as to facilitate friendly relations and interregional ties.
As far as economy is concerned, the parties have plans to stimulate and encourage business contacts, create a favorable investment environment and opportunities for promoting high-tech industries and production of advanced equipment. In general, the districts will support mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
The memorandum will lay out a mechanism of arranging mutual visits aimed at strengthening bilateral contacts.
