MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will take part in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU) and the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Initiative in Brussels on 23 May, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told journalists on 19 May, BelTA has learned.
“The ministerial meeting will focus on such issues as the current state of affairs and prospects of the Eastern Partnership in the context of the Review of the European Neighborhood Policy,” Dmitry Mironchik explained.
The preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit in 2017 will also be on the agenda.
Vladimir Makei will outline Belarus' approaches to the current state of affairs and the reforming of the Eastern Partnership initiative, Dmitry Mironchik said.
Dmitry Mironchik did not exclude that the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs will hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event in Brussels.
