MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ foreign policy is based on the principles of the non-use of force or threat of force, inviolability of borders, peaceful settlement of disputes, non-interference with the domestic affairs and other universally recognized rules of international law, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he opened the international conference 25 Years of Belarus’ Foreign Policy, BelTA has learned.
“We have consistently adhered to these principles, and thanks to this Belarus (and this is undoubtedly an achievement of ours) managed to avoid chaos and violence coming from outside, preserved peace, security and stability amid the most complicated geopolitical situation,” said Vladimir Makei.
Thanks to this, the interethnic and religious peace has become a trademark of the Republic of Belarus on the international arena.
